What A Coach Gives To A Client

Motivation
Sometimes we need a little push to get going in life. We find one excuse after another to procrastinate going after our goals or fixing problems that exist in our lives. A life coach is that motivation. Why? Because our theory of coaching is based upon action. Our clients detail the action steps they will take in order to achieve what they desire. Is it getting a new job? Losing weight? Ridding yourself of your temper? Making new friends? Putting the passion back into your marriage? Whatever your goal, your life coach will be there to provide the motivation.

Inspiration
Good life coaches don't give their clients the answers to their problems -- they pull out the creativity in their clients to help them solve their own problems. This is a very empowering process for the client, because it shows them they do know what is best for them. The repeated success of solving their own problems with inspiration from the coach allows the client to be successful on her own. It empowers the client instead of making her dependent on the coach.

Accountability
Let's face it. Many of us need accountability to get things done. Deadlines. Expectations. One of the benefits of working with a life coach is that your coach will expect you to show up to your sessions. Your coach will expect you to be on time for your sessions. Your coach will expect you to complete your homework assignments between sessions. You will be propelled to success knowing your coach is counting on you.

Positive Reinforcement
We all have the power to live the life of our dreams. It's up to us to choose that life. And it's all in how we think. If we think we can, we can. If we think we can't, we can't. LOL coaching programs stress positive thinking and its benefits. We encourage our clients to think positively and we show them how when they are struggling. There are gifts to be received in every situation in life -- are you conscious enough to see them? Working with a life coach will open your eyes to the multitude of gifts you receive every day.

Reminders of What You Already Know
As I life coach, I believe my clients already know the answers to their questions and problems. What they need is for someone to ask the right questions to help them get to those answers. How do I know this is true? Because of the principle, "What you connect with you already know." Did you ever hear someone say something that seemed so profound it was life changing? According to this principle, the reason it seemed so profound to you was because it was something you already believed...deep down...in your subconscious mind. The person who spoke the words out loud only did you the favor of bringing the thought to your conscious mind. I see this exchange with my clients regularly. It is exhilarating to watch!
